About Sonamarg

Sonamarg, meaning "Meadow of Gold," is a breathtaking hill station located on the way to Ladakh. At an altitude of 2,800 meters, it serves as a gateway to Ladakh via the Zoji La Pass. The valley gets its name from the golden flowers that carpet its meadows in spring.

Surrounded by snow-capped mountains and glaciers, Sonamarg is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. The Thajiwas Glacier is the main attraction, accessible by pony ride or trek. The Sindh River flows through the valley, offering opportunities for trout fishing.
